As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for both salaried and hourly employees. This position involves managing payroll for up to 100 employees, garnishment processing, benefits administration, journaling payroll entries into QuickBooks, and actively contributing to the improvement of HR processes.Responsibilities:Biweekly Payroll Processing: Execute the timely and accurate processing of biweekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees.Garnishment Processing: Manage and process garnishments in compliance with legal requirements, ensuring accurate deductions and timely payments.Benefits Administration: Collaborate with HR to administer employee benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing of deductions and contributions.QuickBooks Journal Entries: Record and journal payroll transactions into QuickBooks, maintaining accurate financial records.HR Process Improvement: Actively participate in the identification and implementation of improvements to HR processes related to payroll and data management.Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and changes.
